Just a few thoughts...

I have been swamped, at work, at home, and in life.

Work is kicking into gear now that they trust me with something real and dangerous! I have begin the unduanting task to get seasoned employees to want to stop working in silos and 'cross-train' them in other areas... talk about a MOUNTAIN. Folks with two years til retirement and rushing each day to it... hmph! I also have a project that will focus on ensuring the agency has proper allocations for '08 budget year. I am on the strategic plan team... AAArrgggghhhhh (nuff said???)

Home...well home has two parts, but Imma focus on the public side. I have been working on the condo deal and hammering out the minor stuff. I had my partners begin looking at floor plans and decor... (SIDEBAR) Dont EVER let women and men try to design ANYTHING together. They so have SO many different thoughts or perceptions as to what this thing should look like. I am thinking dorm-like, others are thinking bungalow style, and one other is thinking studio. And what blows most... is the 'studio' person wants to draw a design opinion out of a freakin hat. Ok.. time out... reality check.. We decided on a hybrid of dorm and bungelow. 'Studio' got to choose the restaurant we ate at. I love them though... they keep me 'grounded and sane'!! I am not happy with the slowness ... I think that this can move faster than the contractors say it can. SO da fawk what its kold out there.... you are being paid handsomely to work in the cold!

Also may mortgage company is doing well. I love my customers and love the satisfaction of helping people purchase their first home or refinancing to consolidate bills (or take a vacation). *Shameless plug* People if you are sending someone else's 'kid to college (i.e. paying them to rent a place), please consider buying a home. All I am saying is 'consider' it. Talk to a mortgage broker or First Time Homebuyer agency, someone... anyone who can give you insight on the affordability of a home. Its like an 'orgasm' when I get an 'approval notice' back from a lender. I dont care where you live (DC, Atl, Raleigh, Morgantown, Norwoord, wherever), you TOO can own a home.

Life is funny... one minute you are up and ready, and then you can easily be down for the count. But its how you react to the fall that matters. Do you lay and let it settle in or do you bounce up and come back for more. I have had numerous accomplishment... the highest highs you could ever have. And then again.. I have had the lowest lows (not suicidal lows, but 'dats fawked up low'). But I have one major 'failure' in my life that I just cant get over. I just cant... I have tried trust me - my best friend has had this convo with me MILLIONS of times now. Hell he brought it up in Houston at the All Star game and has plans to bring it up again in Vegas at the All Star game. *By the way... if you dont have ya room reserved yet - woooowwweeee get reaey to pay upwards of $500+ for a room on the strip* Luckily, knowing the schedule ahead of time...we locked in rooms at less than a fourth of that price. Paid for the room upfront and all... but I digress. Correct ya flaws and GROW! Continue to grow people....

Thanks...
